Verizon Note 3 Loose/Wiggly Home Button

It is a slight wiggle... Exchange all you want.. It will keep happening .

This is why other phones don't have physical buttons... It's bound to happen. You press it more than you think.

I never liked physical home button, but I take it because I want removable battery and microSD slot. I rarely use the home button.

You downloaded something to not use it then.. Or use the back button alot .. Most don't.. And click it all day and wonder where the use comes from :).

I use pie control, works great for me. I never liked physical home buttons. But sure I understand that most use it. Just wanted to share my personal experience

In all honesty, this is the situation where a good portion of people need to complain to Samsung by sending their phones back for repair. Samsung needs to just do away with the physical home button for their next release. Almeuit is right, it will keep happening, but do we want Samsung to continue this nonsense with the Note 4, or Note 5? I was a fan of the physical home button until this issue came up with me, and I find it unacceptable. $700 device with a defect that is above an annoyance is truly unacceptable.

My phone got dropped off at the UPS store and I suspended service on my line (because hey, why would I pay, right? lol.)

Even if I wanted to drop the Note 3, the lack of a removable battery is a turn off. Right now, the Note 3 is it until something better comes a long. LOL.

Is it an annoyance because you don't like looking at it or is it an annoyance because it interferes with performance?

Both. One of the things that concerns me about my N3 is maintaining resale value, as I did with the Note 2. Mind you, this is no Apple product, which has tremendous resale value, and this is coming from a guy who abhors anything Apple...but real recognizes real. The wobbly button will only get worse over time, and the fact that this phone will be fixed in America comforts me a bit. The button was getting more and more loose. I have no doubt that it would have just stopped working in the weeks/months ahead.

All the more reason why people need to force Samsung to address this issue. On the surface, it sounds petty, and I recognize that. But if enough Note 3 customers sends their phone in for repair, and it then affects Samsung's bottom line, then Quality Assurance processes can be implemented to prevent this sort of issue for future Note 3 manufacturing as well as their future products. As opposed to Quality Control, which detects errors...[I'm an MBA student with an MIS specialization...I got a ways to go, but this is kind of my thing, now.)]

All of you guys getting hot and bothered about the S5...I'd seriously caution being the first one in line for that...

I can certainly understand your points. I would be interested to see how the home buttons hold up over time. Right now, it isn't a concern of mine, but who Knows what will happen in the future.

I'm with Telus and my home key got worse so I called and exchanged it... they were out of stock so they had to order one in and the new batches must be a lot better. My new one is perfect

You can check the manufacture date when you register your phone through Samsung. My date was 10/02/2013 (oh...you're Canadian, aren't you... 02/10/2013).

I'm curious to know what your new one will be.

My phone should come back in a matter of hours...it's on a truck right now...

Hopefully this long absence will be very worth it (actually had to send it back to Samsung...no new phone, nothing... :( ). I will let you guys know how it turns out.

Lesson Learned...buy from Best Buy (just not the store I went to) and get that Geek Protection plan...would have gotten a new phone on the spot.
