Verizon Note 3 OTA update

Does this unlock advanced wireless services?

I was just checking this thread to see if anyone asked this yet. You would think it might be covered under improved connectivity. I would hope that this would be something worth mentioning if they did though.

Yeah it does enable advanced wireless services. Mid day and I can see mid to high 20 . before that, it was always in the single digits at work.

My keyboard is black with white lettering. I could've sworn it was white on black prior to the update...

My keyboard also changed. I've been having trouble with the keyboard not remembering words lately so hopefully it fixed that.

I am not really sure if my speeds are better until I do a test in the same location I got 54 Mbps down on 10/14. When I saw this speed back then I thought we were using band 4.

Somewhat hard to tell based on speed alone, unless you are exceeding 72mbps,I got 68 on band 13. But at my work, I test frequently so I know what speeds I get. A massive increase would mean band 4.

I can't recall this happening on my T-Mobile Note 3 yet.

Yeah. It's happened twice now about 4 days apart for no reason. Not real worried about it though as something prolly got stuck trying to do something in the background at the wrong time.

Google maps says you work out of some place called Daffy's? (boredom on my part :p )

I haven't seen anything faster than 20 Mbps since I picked up my HTC Thunderbolt on the first day it was released. Are you guys doing anything different to ramp up your download speeds?

After the update, I've noticed my upload speeds go from a paltry 2-3 Mbps to about 11-12.

Does anyone know of a setting that will return the keyboard back to white?
Buy the SwiftKey keyboard. You can choose from a multiple of colour schemes and variations. It's all of $4.00 I believe and makes the stock keyboard look like junk by comparison. They have a 30-day free trial with full functionality.

:what: Not sure about that. This was basically waiting at a traffic light on the way home. I'll have to remember to test it again in that spot and maybe check some of the other places I did tests previously with lower readings and see what I get.

Some people really like the stock keyboard because it has the number row on top...just saying. I do use SwiftKey though.

SwiftKey beta was released today with the number row. You can download it from their site.
