Verizon Note 3 users, let's hear from you..

Thus far I'm having intermittent connectivity issues with PDAnet, the USB 3.0 feature requires you to put the phone in Airplane mode (unless there's a workaround for it), but the processor speed is great, and battery life seems to be great as well, considering how long it's taking me to charge. From what I understand charging under USB 3.0 should be faster, but that's a given considering you're putting the phone in Airplane mode.

Great phone but my signal since trying the S4 and the Note 3 just isnt on par with what i got from last two Motorola phones. The Razr, MAXX HD both had better signal!

I am very pleased with it. Haven't made too many calls, but activation was a breeze. And my contacts came over without an issue from the iPhone. Haven't had much time to play with it, but going to tonight while waiting on the wife. Just need to get on wifi, do add some of my app's back. Calls are good though. Not sure about the gmail app yet, hoping an update is outhere for it.
How did you move your contacts over from the iPhone?

They left in the wifi toggle and blocking mode, and no branding on the home button. I'm actually surprised that they didn't screw anything up that I've noticed...so far. Very happy, this phone is just as good as I expected it to be.
This is great to hear! :)

Was there a region lock sticker on the box? From the posted pics, one can't open the box without tearing up the sticker.

Can you guys post some dBM comparisons between your old phones and the Note 3? Thanks.

I had the note 2 and compared them side by side in the store before I purchased and they were the same. If it was worse I was going to pass.

After a couple of days its been pretty solid...slapped the Nova Launcher on it immediately and disabled about 20-25 apps before really using it. Battery life has been good, drains about 10% every hour and a half with most of the usage consisting of texting, emailing, playing stored music, FB, YouTube and internet browsing...I don't play games much on it so I guess I fall in the light user category, but constantly am using it for music and email. Might start playing games though, digging the size of the screen.

I LOVE how the speaker is on the bottom now instead of the back, but was hoping it be a little louder. After using the HTC One for awhile, got used to the loud speakers. I know there are apps out there to increase volume but not sure which to use (any suggestions would be greatly appreciated) There is room for another speaker on the bottom, it would have been awesome if they added another.

Signal is so-so but I am mostly on WiFi and LTE has always been spotty here in Phoenix with every phone I had (N2, S4, S3, HTC One). I pulled the battery only once during initial setup, although there is 3GB's of RAM in this thing, it did seem to lag and stall when it was restoring applications and eventually had to pull the battery. Since, no issues other than FB freezing a couple of times and not opening photos. The stock internet browser changed their window manager, keeping the current page big and previews of other pages small, thought that was kind of cool and an improvement.

One weird issue I came across but it's very minor and meaningless. The screen timeout is set to 45 seconds by default, if you change it, 45 seconds is no longer an option. No biggie, just thought it was weird.

I like it so far, everything is working great...my only complaint is the speaker (music and phone calls on speaker)

Coming from note2, my observations:

Positives
- battery life is killer. Even better than n2
- feels more solid than I even thought
- display side by side is better than retina display

Negatives

- wifi clearly not as strong as n2
- not crazy about speaker sound

How did you move your contacts over from the iPhone?

Sorry, just got back into town, and looked at replys to post.

I used Verizon automatic contact backup, the one that only runs over the network, not Wi-Fi. I launched the N3, and it seemed to have gone in and loaded it on its own as part of the Verizon setup. So far it seems to have worked. Haven't found any missing contacts.

I love this thing! No issues with signal, although I never have issues with signal on VZW. But this thing is fast!

Coming from a DROID MAXX, I was worried about battery life powering this awesome screen. All that was laid to rest after the first day!

I do agree with some others about the speaker. It's louder and WAY clearer than my MAXX was. Just wish it was a tad bit louder.

Also, surprisingly I find myself using the S - Pen more than I thought I would.

Overall, absolutely NO regrets!

I got my phone to last me around 30 hours of fairly heavy use with only about 40 mins of charging in the car. Got through my entire shift at work, doing a breast cancer walk, and chilling at my friends' house on my football Sunday (where I'm constantly using the phone to check my fantasy scores and follow my Seahawks). I'm absolutely thrilled with the performance I've gotten from the battery to say the least. Coming from my old Samsung Stratosphere I was lucky to make it through a full day of work.

Call clarity on the phone has been outstanding and I was surprised that it's actually more comfortable to talk with the phone than I thought it would be. I do have a bluetooth headset that I plan to keep with me constantly now though (if for no other reason that to use it for streaming music from the phone). I did have issues with reception yesterday when I was at the event I went to but there were thousands of people there all trying to use their phones so what a shock that reception was an issue. Once the race started and people began breaking up, it worked perfectly.

Been doing "heavy" lifting (ie installing games I play on my N7) and the performance has been incredible. I think the only reason I pick up my N7 at home now is because I dock the GN3 and I like being able to glance at it for time and temperature.

This phone has been simply stunning. My one and only complaint is that Samsung locks wallpaper scrolling out of TouchWiz and even with the simple fix of just installing Nova Launcher, that's such a minor complaint I can hardly call it a con. More like me just whining lol.

Great phone. Glad I've got an old data plan from the double data promotion a couple years ago though because I ate a lot of my allowance up already this month testing everything out haha

Coming from a Galaxy Nexus on VZW where there were tons of issues connecting/reconnecting to VZW network to get a decent signal:
Everything works like a dream. I've seen no issues so far.

Have had since 10-11-13 and it has been great. Battery life is awesome. Lowest screen brightness is still plenty bright. The signal has been great. (Houston TX). Pictures come out nice. Video is great. Calls quality is great. The S pen and features is phenomenal. Wifi signal is great, no complaints so far. The performance is top of the line. Have had a few hiccups, but that is to be expected. No phone is perfect.

Hiccups; home button wiggles a bit. S pen a bit harder to pop out (wife with nails done, struggles to get it out). Watch on force closed at least 1-3 times a day, so I disabled it. Can not open two of same Window on Verizon version. Not all chargers work with this device. And the way I hold my phone, I cover the speaker, so it sounds kinda muffled.

But the pros out weigh the cons.

I went from Droid RAZR MAXX HD to an LG G2, then to this beast of a phone.

Have had my Note 3 for 3 days. Any one using Onenote? Is pen support planned?

Bought a GN on launch day, back in 2011 or whatever it was.

GN was a decent device overall. Battery life was a total joke, even on Samsung's extended battery.
Signal strength was ALWAYS an issue.

Bought a Note 3 10/10, launch day for Verizon network.
I can tell you that the N3 is superior in nearly every regard to the GN. As much as I have always defended the GN, in retrospect (and now in comparison) it becomes harder to do so, when it is eclipsed by such superior, newer devices.

Only real complaint I have thus far about the N3 is the tons and tons of bloatware, which wasn't ever present on the GN, and a pretty steep learning curve for simpletons such as myself.

The one real major upgrade for me personally is the signal strength. I office in a big, metal warehouse. The GN either had little or no signal strength at all in this building. It became worse after a couple of their latest OS updates. The N3 maintains a weak 4G, sometimes a strong 3G signal in this building.

Excellent device so far.

when i got the note 3, i was surprised to see only one page of apps in the app drawer. until i saw the tools folder, verizon folder, google folder, and samsung folder. which is about 2 more pages of apps. :(
