Verizon Note 9 Telephone ear speaker volume drop

[Android Central Question]

Volume on telephones earpiece has suddenly dropped off to almost nothing, though the volume is completely normal through the speaker and through headphones.

Before I go to Verizon with a warranty claim, thought I'd check in here to see if anyone else has had this problem.

other then make sure that ear piece not covered or gunk build up , call Samsung.

Thanks. Support walked me through troubleshooting; no dice. Less than 90 days old; Verizon is sending a replacement under warranty.

Good point , they have a tape to cover it ..

Yes, but I've seen many that didn't use the tape to cover it and the glue ruined their ear speaker.

Well, that's just asking for trouble!
I thought the Whitestone was much easier to put on, good and straight than any other TGSP I've used.

I thought the Whitestone was much easier to put on, good and straight than any other TGSP I've used.

When it was first released they did not provide the sticker to cover the ear speaker and many of people screwed up their phones when the glue ran in there. Many just thought their phone was defective and never realised the actual problem.
