I just purchased a Verizon note 5 outright at best buy. It looks like I can get Verizon insurance on it. My question is who would I deal with if I ever need a warrenty exchange? Verizon, Samsung or bestbuy? Thanks

Square trade is an insurance isn't it? I would deal with them with warranty issues also?

If you get insurance through Verizon, it'll be Assurance that issues the policy.

Thanks for the replys. I was hoping that I would be able to use Verizon with any Warrenton issues. I like that they mail out a replacement before you send in your device. Can anyone tell me how good Samsung service is? I just delta with Motorola care a few months ago and it was a pain.

Re: Verizon or Samsung warrenty

If you don't buy any insurance then Samsung is the official warrantor, however, Verizon will provide a warranty exchange within 1 year provided that it is active on your Verizon wireless line.

If you buy Verizon extended warranty, then you can use the extended warranty indefinitely so long as you pay for the extended warranty. Extended warranty covers manufacturers defects. There is no deductible for extended warranty.

Verizon offers insurance through asurion, and there is a deductible and claim limit for insurance claims (loss, theft, physical damage or water damage). The claim for insurance would be through asurion

There are third party insurance policies like square trade but keep in mind that most will not cover loss or theft. Something to keep in mind.

Best buy also offers an insurance policy, and if you buy theirs then you will have to go through best buy to get a replacement

Thanks, you were very helpful. I think I will get the insurance through Verizon for a while and see how the phone holds up. It is slippery.
