I do - this is what appears - it checks for updates every time I go to System Updates

I side loaded an updated version of Google play services(10.0.84). I then went into settings-about phone- system updates. You will then see the option to click on "check for updates". I clicked the option and I was prompted to update my phone.

I'm on version 9.8.77 - the side loading thing is not in my skillset

http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-services/google-play-services-10-0-84-release/ follow this link, but keep in mind the version of Google play services that you have installed already (first three digits in parentheses when you go look up the version of Google play services in settings) match that three digit number to the correct version seen on the website. If you have variant 440 for instance, download version 10.0.84 (440-XXXXXXXXXX) hope this helps.
