How common are the random reboots, for everyone and does google know about it? I talked with a Verizon rep on the phone and she was reading to me software release notes for the update that she said was coming late march. She knew nothing about random reboots and said it was not on the list, she has the Galaxy nexus and does not have random reboots. She did say that the mic cut out issue is on the list of fixes for the update.

I have had random reboots, and the mic cut out issue in the past. So I want those issues fixed for sure. Anyway has anyone else been able to call and get any info, I know I know, you can't trust Verizon they pretty much don't know anything. She was reading from something through. So what do you guys think?

I read about these problems all the time but don't have them at all. If ya havent already, root the phone and choose a proven rom (I use codename but you can choose any rom thats been around for a while). I can't speak about the 4g problems because my area is 3g only but I couldn't be happier with this phone.

I do have random reboots. It is pretty much the only major problem I have had out of all of the 'bigger issues' going around. However, I dont think its the OS causing the reboots, I think it's the apps.

Yeah, some people can swear up and down that an app cannot cause the phone to reboot, it can only Force close. To them I say this: I had a computer game once that would blue screen my windows computer because it was causing a memory error with the graphics card. It was fixed with an update. This is the same deal.

I say that I believe it's app-based because as updates have been pushed out for the apps installed on my phone, my reboots are getting less frequent. They started out fairly frequent; about every 70 or so hours of up time my phone would reboot. And since then the time has increased to approx every 100 hrs, to ~150hrs, and now im going as long as 200 hrs without a reboot. even right now my phone has been on for 149hrs and 10 mins. Sure it could be coincidental, but I like to believe its not.

Dont stress too much about the reboots unless they are happening while you are texting or talking on the phone. I have never once had a reboot doing either of these, and it takes the phone less than 2 minutes to be ready to rock again. No, that doesnt make the reboots okay, but I personally can live with my phone rebooting once every 10 or so days.
