Verizon S21 problems after update

Just finished the update. 2 problems noticed so far.

First, when I wipe the cache partition, it wipes but I get an error message after the wipe complete line that says “error updating for slot select”. That never appeared before. Any idea what this is and how to correct it?

Second, I’ve lost my visual voicemail. I use the stock Verizon voicemail app, which worked fine from purchase through about 5 minutes before the update, but after the update the visual message is gone. Anyone know how to get it back?

From now on, I’m waiting on update installs. I’ve made this mistake before and I’m tired of being the guinea pig.

I heard you need to uninstall Samsung Pay and the error message should go away. Some type of issue with that. Let me know if it works.

I had uninstalled Samsung pay when I first got the phone, so that’s not it. I just force stopped Samsung Pay Framework (which cannot be uninstalled)and got the same message - “E:[libfs_mgr]Error updating for slotselect”.

That message appears when I initially get to the recovery screen (from which I scroll down and select wipe cache partition), and then appears again after the cache has been wiped. Never seen it before and I can’t find anything about it on the web.

I wonder if this has something to do with the dual sim message that pops up initially when you install the update.

There might be an update for Samsung pay that will fix it. I'm reading both of those things online fix the issue, if you scroll down someone else mentioned it in there forum

Tried downloading Samsung pay, made sure it was updated, but still got the same error message when I wiped the cache. Appreciate your thoughts on this. I don’t think it’s related to that. It’s gotta be something with this update that just got pushed out. Hopefully there’s a setting somewhere that will fix it. Hopefully it doesn’t take a future update to fix it. In the interim, the phone seems to be working fine. Thanks again.

If you find the fix let me know, I'm still waiting for my update but in case I run into the same issue it would be nice to know how to fix it. I'm glad to hear everything else is working well, I'm sure they'll be some more information on it in the next few days.

unfortunately, a number of known issues made it into the stable release...send error reports through the Samsung Members app and just keep hammering the devs

Quick update for anyone who experiences a problem with Verizon's visual voicemail after the update. Looks like it might have just gotten hung up until the next voicemail came in. Once someone left me a message this morning (1st voicemail since the update), it came through with the visual text and, at that same moment, all of my past voicemails instantly populated with their visual texts. So if you notice the absence of the visual voicemail, call your phone from another line and leave yourself a voicemail...that might "push" everything through and get it running properly again.

I still get that same slotselect error message whenever I go to wipe the cache, but the phone seems to working ok (some minor oddities here and there after the update but nothing that interferes w/ functionality), so I'll wait and hopefully this gets fixed with the next update.

I tried everything to get my VV working again after the update. Stayed on the phone with tech support for a hour.
Finally gave up.
I seen there is a patch supposedly released yesterday .
I haven't received it yet.

I had to swap back to my back up phone. I absolutely have to have visual voicemail.

Ok I got the update this morning but still getting the visual vm error . Very annoying

I could use my p6 but it's really to freaking big for Daily use.

I reported about your Cache Partition issue. I'm still waiting on the next update to see if t has been fixed.
