Is there any word on when a Samsung S5 on Verizon will be officially available?

Yes, you are correct. My S5 has been offered Marshmallow but I am waiting until I see the general reaction from other Verizon S5 users

I just upgraded my wife's S5 with no issues.

No issues on mine either.

Mine just updated today. has become unusable. Keyboard app keeps popping up on lock screen no way around without rebooting. I have rebooted 6 times now.

If you have no other option try doing a factory reset. I did the update yesterday and have no issues.
