Verizon S6 edge+ Marshamallow

I don't really see any big change. I'm not a person that looks at my phone 24/7. My wife tells me I don't use all the features the phone offers. My battery would last two days. We shall see how the battery holds up with new update. I will say I'm not happy back light keys turned off when I'm in power saving mode

The download was annoyingly slow and had to restart it only once. Once downloaded, it installed no problem. I'm enjoying the extra edge features and my home screen is completely blank except for the time/weather widget and the apps folder icon that I can't get rid of. Things so far are running smoothly, though it did take way too long to figure out why I was sending sms via my google voice number and not my actual phone number.

So I noticed that the phone is quicker and more responsive among a little different look. I'm also showing WiFi calling is available.

Things are good so far. One thing I did notice on the main lock screen is the clock is larger and is in the middle of the screen. Why do you need such a large clock Samsung???

After reading all the problems posted in this thread yesterday, I held off from updating until 9pm last night. (I'm in Southern California.) It took a total of 35 minutes to download and install. No restarts. Everything is running great!

I too am another So California, Verizon user, just updated, seems like butter, no problems so far. Need to check out the new stuff and differences between LP and MM.

Hi,recently just moved from an iPhone 6 plus to a s6 edge plus and when I go to update Ota it always says it's temporarily unavailable but it's been saying that for two days, can someone explain how to fix it or how to update over a computer? It's a Verizon phone but it's unlocked and I'm using it with straight talk. Thanks guys

Can anyone confirm that OnCircle messaging is active after the marshmallow update. In Verizon's changelog it says it is in there however on my friends Edge 6 plus it is not there.

I get it to download just fine but it fails on install. I tried it like 10 times. Fails on install every time. Anyone have any ideas?

Mine was successful. I was surprised, as I downloaded 92% on wifi and 8% OTA. I made sure that it was plugged in for the install and it worked correctly

UPDATED:
You can download Samsung's Smart Switch for PC and phone. I use it like Blackberry Desktop to back up my phone and Sync it to Outlook.

It also has a Software Update feature which I am using right now to download the 6.0 Update. Been at it about 15 minutes now and I am at 85%. Will advise how it goes.

I neglected to mention that I was using Samsung Smart Switch on my PC, connected to the phone via my Samsung oem USB cable.

The OS update failed to run the first couple of times, something about a connection error(?), so I followed the instructions given and held the Power and Volume Down buttons for 10 seconds, which brings up a menu. Unfortunately it did not tell me what to do after that, but I (decided to try) chose Safe Mode and restarted the phone. Ran the update again and it came off without a hitch flawless and perfect. Now to find out all that is new.

I hope your upgrade goes as well or better.
BerryInteresting...

Downloaded quick (wifi) & installed find, but I still don't find anything worth using the edge features. I forget that they're even there & without root.....

I'm waiting for this exact same question to be answered. I want to use this feature so bad it's ridiculous. Even if it's a bit gimmicky I was told it would be there and been looking forward to using it.

Got Mashmallow last week at some point I think but don't remember the exact day... only took about a half hour to an hour to download and install and everything but I did postpone the download for a few hours that day. So whatever day it was, I didn't wind up downloading it till 5pm.

I'm loving the new edge features and I installed an extra one called RSS feeds for all my tech news sites I follow. Plus I'm using the yahoo news edge app and enjoying the extra column in the favorite apps edge app. Also noticed some interface changes in the default theme on the phone, namely, new color and effect in the pull down notifications and quick settings menus and the full settings menus as well.

At first I felt like battery life had improved substantially but it seems to have evened out over the week. Possibly even a little worse at this point. Not really sure. I may just be using the phone more than usual.

Performance seems fine but that was never a problem on this phone.

Overall I'm pleased with the update...

:)
