Verizon S6 mobile data toggle was removed from quick settings?!?!?!

Because having a quick toggle for the mobile data is much better than enabling/disabling it via the wifi toggle? And also, going through the settings menu just to enable the mobile data every time you need it on is not convenient. I actually don't get why you had to ask that. Like most people on this thread, I prefer to have that mobile data toggle as I can't always be near a wifi hotspot and mobile data is the only option.
It's great that you have that feature. Not saying there's anything wrong with it.

I'm from Mexico, S6 edge 5.0.2 with Telcel (though it seems the service provider is irrelevant). I ran no software update - that I know of at least - and out of nowhere I lost several quick toggles, just like all of you folks here.

So just realised my data toggle on my s6(uk) also was gone. After doing some google search seems like this is widespread and isn't carrier specific or down to a update. Anyways seems like there's a temp fix on xda that enables the the data toggle again. Have tried it and works. Basically it's a app similar to the app that enables and disables the capacitive button. Once you use it you can just uninstall the app and best thing requires no root. Here's the xda forum

I just checked for more updates. Had one. Updated and it wasn't to fix the toggle problem. What a bunch of ****. Data is my most used toggle. So why would lollipop remove it......since it's a toggle that's there from factory too.

Mine is gone too. same as my girfriends.
we have KPN in the Netherlands.
Girlfriend came to me 2 days ago about the missing switch.
I noticed hers was gone as with two other switched. Private Mode and something else.

Yesterday mine were missing too!

Last thing i used was airplane mode....

My wife (on optus australia) was saying hers had disappeared and I was blaming her for bumping something. ... then I looked at mine (telstra australia) and my hotspot and mobile have also gone also!

You guys have got me paranoid. I check a couple of times a day to make sure mine haven't disappeared.

That toggle works fine for me. Just installed it. Thanks. Although it is a bit annoying how its just gone and having to install something for it

Solution: Go to settings, then to backup and reset, then reset settings (NOT Factory data reset). This will restore all your quick setting icons
