Verizon S7 Security Update Failed

Has anyone else experienced problems applying the most recent security update?

I was out of town last week in an area with very poor cell reception. When I returned home on 2016.07.23, my Galaxy S7 (on Verizon network) indicated that there were two updates available, both a software update as well as a separate security update. The software update proceeded without a problem, and I am currently running build number MMB29M.G930VVRS2APF2. I then tried to install the security update, but it keeps failing, with the following message:

"Security Update Failed: Failed to update the security policy. Try later."

This has been going on for 5 days now. I have rebooted the phone, cleared the cache, and attempted to manually apply the security update (from Settings > Lock screen and security > Other security settings > Security Policy Updates > Check for updates). All my efforts have been fruitless.

Any thoughts?

Hi

Try entering recovery and wiping the cache partition, and try again. Hope this helps!
