Verizon S8 + Pictures including Bloat ETC.

The Verizon stamp is not on the one pictured on the Verizon site either.

Could you see behind the security device? I'm getting a case either way. I'm not the most graceful person. I've dropped every phone I've owed at least 5 or 6 times...each.

Interesting... I checked Verizon. The S7, LG G6, V20 all show Verizon logos. The S8/8+ Pixel/Pixel XL, Moto Z, and (obviously) iPhone do not have logos.

Samsung rep said all Verizon bloatware can be removed, save for four Samsung apps.

I'm not sure about that. I was playing with one at a Verizon store and it only allowed me to uninstall NFL Mobile and VZNavigator. The rest it allowed disabling only.

That is some BS. My boss was asking me for advice as he's got the Note 4 and they told him the same thing, so he kind of got cornered into getting the S8 instead of the S8+.

I agree. They should give you the same dollar discount on the monthly payment on the s8+ as you get on the s8 for a note 4 trade in. Pure bs on verizon' part, but it is verizon we are talking about. I was considering upgrading my note 4 to either. S8+ or lg g6 but the g6 got eliminated when I saw it has no notification led. I don't want a s8, I would rather have the s8+. I might wait now and see what the new note will end up with. I am not really digging the 2:1 screens.

Correct it doesn't have it. Even if it did carrier branding never bothered me like it does some people :P.

14.56 GB used up OOTB? That's just poor internal storage management. I really wanted to get this phone. Guess I will hold onto my iPhone 7 a little longer.

You decide your phones purely on internal storage? I mean if that was the only storage I would understand but since it has SD card support I don't seen it as a big deal.

It's part of my requirements. I'm not a fan of carrier and manufacturer bloatware. It does affect the the overall performance of a phone. I will likely wait for the Pixel 2. With that phone, I know I will get a true android experience. That's what I want. Not saying the S8 is a bad phone, but I just wish Samsung would stand up to the carriers and say no to bloatware and also remove all of it's own junk such as touchwiz and it's own blaotware apps. If they did, it would, IMO be the best phone on the market by far.

If Samsung removed TouchWiz, the S8 would be called the Pixel 2.

Samsung succeeds not because of it's bloatware or touchwiz, but because of it's physical design. Google has yet to figure that out. Most of their phones are butt ugly, and when it comes to phones, if it doesn't look good, it won't sell, yet for overall performance, they are the better phones.

this is why i miss the Galaxy Nexus phone, nice samsung hardware design + google software. (we'll ignore the mess with the verizon CDMA version vs the gsm version)
