Verizon S8 + Pictures including Bloat ETC.

doubtful. 3gb ootb? my gf iphone she has the 128gb and available is 121 ootb.

You do realize 128GB on a phone does not mean 128 gb. When you use decimal gigabytes, 1 GB=1 billion bytes. However, when you use binary, 1GB is equal to 1,073,741,824 bytes. So in order to know the true capacity of your phone you must divide 128 gb (128,000,000,000) by 1,073,741,824 to get the actual amount on phone. So in reality 128 GB on a phone is 119 GB. iOS is only 1.8 GB. So there is absolutely no way she could have 121 GB left on the phone.

I know you can go into setting and see how much storage you have left and it might show 121 GB is available, but it really isnt 121 GB. Check "used", and that will include all the apps she downloaded, pictures she has taken etc. So when a app says it's 1GB in size, it's actually 1.073 GB is size. Thats why there is a discrepancy between was is available and waht is really available. Hook your iPhone up to iTunes, and see how much is really available of that 119 GB which is the true size of the phone.

Mine shows 124 GB out of 128. So ios plus included apps only takes up 3.84 GB OOTB.

Hook up that phone to iTunes, and that available will not be 104. Just like my 92.24 is not 92.24. In iTunes, it's 86GB because you have to divide 92.24 by 1.073.

14.56 GB used up OOTB? That's just poor internal storage management. I really wanted to get this phone. Guess I will hold onto my iPhone 7 a little longer.

Out of 64GB. Plus microSD card support up to 256GB. That's plenty of room for apps on the phone with photos, videos, documents, etc. on the microSD card. My iPhone 6s Plus has 64GB total. Over half of that is apps alone. I only had about 25GB or so to use for music, videos, and photos. I'm not sure of your complaint.

My complain for at the price that is charged for a phone, the os should not have to consume so much space. Android and bloatware should not consume nearly 15GB of phone storage OOTB. A 64 GB phone should not be down to 49 GB when I first turn it on. Your 6S plus, OOTB with the ios would be sitting at no worse than 60 GB. Guess I think it's a waste throwing 11 GB away. I would hope in the year 2017, os on phones would be more efficient, including Apple.

I don't want to be critical of Samsung. They make a really great phone. One of the best out there. I guess my dissatisfaction should be aimed more at the android and the carrier bloatware.

The retail models will use less space out of the box. All the displays have the S8 store demo software running on them.

I wont use much of that 49 gb, plus I can install a memory card, so it is not a big deal to me :)

I just realized that with a 256GB microSD card, I can fit my ENTIRE music collection on it and still have approx 80GB of space left! I may even get rid of my iPod Classic (160GB). Muahahahaha!
