Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - Questions for Gear Owners

Does the watch face stay on all the time or do you have to do something to turn it on?

If left on all the time can you get a full day out of battery?

Does the band hurt your wrist.

It isn't clear to me which notifications you DO get and which you DON'T. Could you clarify?

If you are wearing your gear does it screw up auto connection to car bluetooth?

Any other problems to report that might make me think twice about buying one other than gear 2 coming out in April?

Hey, I can't answer all the questions but I will answer what I can.
The screen will stay off until you raise/turn your arm/wrist to look at the watch face. The delay is ever so slight.
I don't find the band uncomfortable at all. It's light, nice curve to it. Good adjustments for size.
You can set up the notifications for pretty much every app on your device. For example, I will receive a notification and preview off all my BBMs, text, email, tweet, etc. It's awesome!
I am still new to this watch, so that is all I can answer for now.

Does gear show Gmail notifications? I don't use the stock samsung email app.

Gmail should be good to go. I don't use Gmail so don't have it enabled. But the option is there. I haven't had a problem with any third part app notifications going my Gear.

Could you check the list (assuming there are more apps available) for me and see if an app called touchdown is on it?

The list only includes apps that I have installed on my phone. So since I don't have Touchdown it won't show up.
But the list will have all apps that have a notification setting. from what I can tell so far, any notification that you can receive on your phone will he transmitted to the Gear when connected.
So in theory if Touchdown has notification settings, it will notify on your Gear.

Yes it shows Gmail notifications and most of the body of the message with the new firmware. It will notify you of pretty much everything that has notification ability. I get my texts, scores from espn sprotscenter, gmail, calender events, etc. Speaking reply to texts is pretty killer. Also phone conversations via the watch work great. I use it while driving.

I was hoping to scroll through complete message. If I switch to Samsung email app can I see entire message? I don't care about pics, just all the words.

I am using the stock Samsung app and I can read the whole message. It's actually handy. Just a quick glimpse, tap, scroll to read.
