Verizon Samsung Galaxy s6 WiFi issues

Hello I am new here. I have read a lot of posts but found no answers. Is there a fix for the WiFi issues? Or is there a update coming? Maybe 5.1.1 will fix it. Sorry if I am beating a dead horse.

I'm on Verizon, I don't have any issues with my wifi.

The problem is that it says that I am connected to my network but when I try to do anything on the Internet it says that I have no network connection even though the WiFi icon shows that it's connected.

Is this with your home wifi or a public one? If the internet is down that the wifi uses you could be seeing this issue.

it is my home network. my wifes S5 has no problem with the connection.

I went ahead and replace my router and seems to have fixed the problem.
