Verizon System Update 4 - Night mode included

And still no RCS. My S9+ got it but Verizon still won't support the Note 9 or S10+.. Come on Verizon!

It's okay. Don't expect anything like the Pixel or Huawei phones, but it's certainly better than before.

Very quick raw test outside the home. This is outside on the street at 12am midnight. Lighting is from streetlights.

I notice with Night Mode you have to keep steady and also it takes longer to save a photo.

Here is what the camera app looks like with Night Mode selected.

Anyone notice that if you tap the screen a brightness adjustment pops up? I just noticed it so I'm not sure how it impacts results.

So far I don't like this implementation of night mode because it doesn't allow zoom adjustments. Just wide or normal which is somewhat limiting.Screenshot_20190703-063747_Camera.jpeg

How would you compare it to the pixel night mode ?

Sux so far compared to Pixel.
I only tried it places where it was slightly dark and it doesn't make much difference. I imagine that's because the device in auto can compensate enough on its own. Puting it in night mode yielded less natural colors and images were not as sharp though I held fairly still. Didn't have that problem with Pixel. I want to try it outdoors at night to see what happens but I'm not expecting miracles.

Thanks for feedback , it's a start hopefully they improve it.

Although that is certainly disappointing (hopefully more camera update(s) once the Note 10 is out?) anyone who bought the S10 expecting Pixel quality night mode bought the wrong phone.
