Verizon the only carrier with Cheap headphone & charge cable packaging.

I guess I am the only one that doesn't care about the packaging in the box. As long as it is standard charger + cord the rest IDC about :P.

Has anyone actually looked into this? I got mine from best buy and it also came with no seal, plastic bag accessories, no braided headphones, just standard. It also came with a tiny scratch on the screen protector that I ended up taking off anyways.

Anyways I'm not going to return my phone regardless. Just kind of weird that packaging wasn't the same across all carriers.

I prefer it not being so fancy packed. This way if I decide to return it, won't be hard to repack everything, just toss them in the box.

Does it really matter how they package the accessories? I got mine from Best Buy in plastic bags. I doubt I'll ever use them.

Sure it does. You pay this kind of money for something and get inferior packaging.
Maybe Verizon should start shipping the actual phones in ZipLoc sandwich bags.

Also the cable on the Verizon headphones is not braided while all the others are.

I was a little surprised over the haphazard packaging in the box when I first opened it, but can't say that I lost any sleep over it.

That said, the corded headphones being lower quality materials (plain vs. braided) is disappointing. Why skimp on that for just one carrier?!? I'm kinda curious if the sound quality is any different between the Verizon headphones and the other braided ones.

The packaging and headphone differences might make for an interesting article for one of the AC bloggers...maybe track down the powers that be for an explanation. ;)

EDIT: I was incorrect on the headphones...see post a bit lower on the page.

Agreed !!! It's not that Verizon is charging cheap prices for their service. I mean why mess with original Samsung packaging, just to save few dollars? Such a greedy company and shameful of Verizon. I used to hate when AT&T is used to do this and ship phones in their ugly AT&T box with crap packaging.
It's one thing I give props for Apple, they don't allow these crappy carriers mess with their phone or presentation.

Also, I lol'd at Verizon shipping phones in Ziploc baggage

I stand corrected on the Verizon headphones, at least in my package. When I actually pulled mine out of the box and flipped the packaging over, they are actually braided like the nice boxed version pictured in gizzyman's post...so looks like the headphones might be the same afterall. They are braided up to where the cord separates to go to each ear...same amount of braiding as the AKG corded headphones that came with my S8.

The only thing I'll be upset about is losing the braided cable on the headphones if that's how mine ship. I use my AKG buds year to year and my last set from the S9 are getting kind of haggard but they're braided.

Straight from Samsung Verizon s10e prism blue with white accessories . But the cable is braided

Re: Verizon the only carrier with Cheap headphone & charge cable packaging.

Good to know at least they didn't fully cheap out and change the accessories, just the packaging.

Obviously there is a valid reason to do this, they had to certify the packaging just like they have to certify all updates /s

your going to return it cause of the packaging?
I said I wasn't going to return it regardless. I could understand though if someone would want to return it for not having the same packaging/headphones/package seal that everyone else was getting. Also having a scratch on the screen protector out of the box would justify returning it.

When Samsung touted this as being their first attempt at reducing packaging materials and moving away from plastics going forward...yeah, it's a big deal for some. The fact that we 'never use them' and are just discarded is pretty much the reason they're moving away from those materials and into a more 'eco-friendly' package.

I got my phone from Best Buy and all my accessories were neatly packed in cardboard with braided headphone cord.
