Just wondering what everyone thinks about this.

I am on my fourth TB (3rd reman), been having multiple problems with all of them. Called last night talked to a level two tech and he was quick to offer me a Samsung Charge (reman) in exchange for my TB. I absolutely love the HTC but cant stand the constant randomm problems (i have the update installed).

Has anyone here exchanged their Charge for a TB? I'm skeptical about doing this but figured it wouldnt hurt to try, I like the fact that the Samsung has the amoled screen and I have read everywhere that the charge has a better battery life.

Anyone have any suggestions or insight on why I should or shouldnt do this?

Verizon did the same for me, and they switched my Thunderbolt fot a new DROID charge. So far I am liking the charge more all though I do miss sence over touch wiz. I have had no problems yet on the charge.

I went through the same process, and I like the Charge better. I guess I'm one of the few that don't mind touch wiz though. The TB had way too many reboots even with the MR2 update.

Has anyone had to exchange charge for thunderbolt? If not I'm beginning to wonder if I chose the right phone?

I work for verizon and this wont happen. The tbolt has been fine since the new update. The only phone that they are giving a different phone for is the fascinate. They are doing either the charge, inc 2 and x2.

Yes my thunderbolt is fine but if folks change from thunderbolt to charge (and are happy) but never the other way around I am concerned that I made the wrong choice. Many here seem to have chosen tb solely because it was easier to root. Since I will never root I want the stock phone with all the bells and whistles that works best.

I've been offered the Charge from VZ since I have also been through three CLNR's. Before jumping, I went to a couple different stores to check out the Charge, each one had what appeared to be severe burn-in (what screen savers are installed on computers to prevent). It might be more because they have that VZW demo running on it and the screen is constantly on, but it certainly made me think that maybe I won't go to the Charge. Other phones were offered to me too, but I mostly went with the TBolt for the simultaneous voice/data, which other devices can only do on 4G.

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember reading through the Charge forums, and one complaint I kept seeing was that TouchWiz made the phone laggy. I don't know that everyone had that experience, but more than a few people commented on it. The way to resolve it was to root, but like you said, you want the best stock experience. They're a good group of guys over there, so if you're curious, just ask them about it.

Don't do it touch wiz alone would prevent me from doing it. And Samsung slow updates would not make it a option

if you don't want to root, you should be able to install a third party launcher like launcher pro or whatever and it should be more snappy.

All of the amoled screens have burn in problems. Avoid any amoled screen until they fix the burn in issues.

I wouldn't worry about what others choose. You should feel confident in your own choice. I know I am. There is no other phone, existing or upcoming, that has any appeal over the Thunderbolt! The Charge? Feels cheap (plastic), too light in hand. Touch Wiz.... (what????), Yuck.... Bionic = Jumped the Shark! ;) Muahhhhh!:p

Edit: forgot one thing; Bionic = no kickstand! (yes, I'm dead serious, it's a killer feature!)

Nah, I can honestly say I am certain there are exceptions to be made no matter the case. Just because there is not a specific policy does not mean we can't do it.

I hate to tell you the new upgrade has not fixed everything...I still lose my data, I'm having programs not being able to access data. Let me tell you I'm not happy at times but then what can you do? Also I'm supposed to be fully covered by 4G and yet it still bounces to 3G alot and then 1X!

Let me tell you if they had a phone that just worked like it was supposed to I would be fine. Cant stand not being able to use my phone to its fullest capabilities!

Which totally explains why Tbolt owners are getting offers to switch devices.

You will hate the charge. I can almost promise that.
