I don't plan on upgrading to 5G ever, or at least until they get rid of 4G and give me basic 5G for free... but I'll never pay for it. 4G is way faster than I've ever needed

Tmobile doesn't charge for 5g its the other two who are making a killing off of nothing.

Verizon doesn't charge for the Nationwide 5G. They only charge for Ultra Wideband if it isn't part of your existing plan and that's 10 dollars a month.

It's on your bill it will list a credit. They will most likely charge some point in the future but it's good advertising to say it's free, plus people see a credit and like it. Plus tmobile will charge for 5G at some point it will happen, that's when verizon will follow is my guess.

Right....so not all unlimited plans include it. Mine is an older plan that didn't include it either.

Gotcha I should've phrased it a majority of their plans do. If you care about UWB then you don't get start unlimited. And the reasons to stay on some of the older plans are becoming alot more sparse then they used to be.

UWB isn't available where I live or work and I work in Manhattan. It amazes me that it's not available in Manhattan except for 2 minor locations. If it was available it wouldn't matter because like a lot of people I'm working from home.

Yes thats fair we will see once this covid stuff Is done if workplaces go back to before or what.

I was told the issue with NYC right now is anything UWB is on a building I guess the city hasn't finalized a design for lightpole nodes that all three carriers will have to use. When I looked it up it was set for a public hearing in August, so hopefully it's finalized and that coverage will expand a bit quicker.
