Verizon Update: IMM76D.I545VRALG7 - Have you received?

Re: Verizon Update: version IMM76D - Have you received?

I saw this thread yesterday and saw the update on my phone. So I did it manually. I haven't noticed anything different yet. Phone was working fine before it, hope it doesn't mess anything up.

Re: Verizon Update: version IMM76D - Have you received?

I've noticed its not constantly downloading. Before the update, the download arrow under the 4G would light up every few seconds. That seems to have stopped with this update. I would think that has to help the battery.

Re: Verizon Update: version IMM76D - Have you received?

I've noticed that the glitch in the Scalendar (I'd put in an event in my time zone, and it would reset the time to GST and make it 4 hrs later) is gone...thankfully!:)

Re: Verizon Update: version IMM76D - Have you received?

Got my S3 about 2 months ago and it said updated on the screen. No real problems with it until this weekend, I've gotten the "no sim" error 3-4 times since Friday and had never gotten it before. Just checked after reading this thread and had update available.

I did the update on mine and my wife's s3 yesterday. I hadn't seen any differences so far except for the search function.

Re: Verizon Update: version IMM76D - Have you received?

Froze SDM.1, funny after a reboot the screen came up with "custom" and an unlocked lock graphic.
Defrosted SDM.1 and the custom verbiage and graphic disappeared.

Re: Verizon Update: version IMM76D - Have you received?

Mine just took an update to I535VRLG7 on the baseband...model Build is the same with IMM76D in front of it. Picked it up today.

Re: Verizon Update: version IMM76D - Have you received?

I rooted with the script method from xda. I've never flashed antrhing or frozen anything. My update succeeded but I lost root.

Re: Verizon Update: version IMM76D - Have you received?

" never take an ota " p3droid. I stool this advice to heart and have never been off of the latest update for more than a week.( its usually before release) I don't like giving up funcinality and control of my phone.

Re: Verizon Update: version IMM76D - Have you received?

My maxx has this. Basically, when you call in for tech support, there will be an automated message saying that this phone can be remotely diagnosed, and to press x if you agree, press y if you disagree.
Supposedly, according to a rep I spoke with, to use the remote feature we have to agree to it at the point in time VZW wants to use it. Taken with a grain of salt mind you lol. I felt the same way which is why I called in to see if there was an opt out feature for it. Too bad its one of the few items we cant disable in the OS.

Re: Verizon Update: version IMM76D - Have you received?

I am rooted so I checked off "OTA Survival" in Superuser and ran the update. After the phone rebooted it said the update failed, but when I check the version it says IMM76D.I535VRALG7 which is what the update announcement says on Verizons site and I still have root. Should I be good in regards to the update actually taking and just producing a false "Failed" output?

Re: Verizon Update: version IMM76D - Have you received?

After I updated, I got a "TouchWiz Not Responding" error. I got this error twice and it was after I woke it up from being asleep. The phone didn't seem slow or give me any issues other than the error message popping up and I haven't received this message since I first updated my phone. Anyone else get this same error message?

edit: UPDATE: The "TouchWiz Not Responding" error happened again today, twice, under a matter of 5 minutes. When it happened, my phone froze for a few seconds and then asked me if I wanted to wait or force quit TouchWiz. Damn you Verizon. This is getting annoying. I was so happy with my S3 and now am feeling like when I had my DroidX. Ugh.

I just got the update pushed through to my phone just over a half hour ago. My "About device" screen is now exactly identical to yours above.

I was having Backup Assistant connectivity problems where just about every other morning when I woke up there was a notification icon up top and on pull-down it would say "Backup Assistant Failed" and it would be sometime around 3-4am. Hopefully these go away now.
I only got one sim card message a couple weeks ago and it never happened again. Hopefully any differences I notice will be for the better.
