Verizon update S9+

Figured I'd jump back in to keep the thread going Unlocked S9, Verizon, US. No update yet since the original ARBG back in March. I added the VZ software tool to my laptop to try that route too and no luck as of tonight, OTA or USB.

If it's any consolation the people over on the Verizon Community Forums for the S9 aren't seeing much traction either on getting the update (ARE6). It shows as being out there on the VZ site, just not passing it on to the community at large in any kind of rapid fashion. Seems a few are getting it but not a typical rollout like I've seen in the past..

I received the update on June 6th (VZW). It has the May 1 security patch.

If you've got an unlocked device, you won't get your update from Verizon anyway. It'll come from Samsung and usually unlocked devices are last, unfortunately.

No problem. Yeah, I haven't gotten the update yet either. Guess Verizon is rolling it out slowly. I find myself being more patient these days, as well. Phone works perfectly fine right now. I've got no complaints about it.

I haven't received my security update yet, still on the February security patch that came with the phone. My phone is not unlocked, I bought it directly from a Verizon corporate store. I called Verizon a couple of days ago and was told that there hasn't been any updates since the phone was released. I explained that many people seem to have gotten a May or June security patch, but he could find nothing listed. He suggested that I call Samsung, but I know that Samsung doesn't roll-out updates directly to Verizon phones. So are people with phones directly "locked" to Verizon getting any software or security updates? If so, please let me know what they are by release date, purpose, etc. I feel like I'm stuck in the twilight zone because Verizon insists that there have been no updates. That just doesn't make sense. TIA for any help or suggestions.

I just finished installing the June 1st Security Update. Couldn't see that there was anything else included.

I got the May security update a couple weeks ago, and just got the June update today on Verizon.

Same here, S9+ on Verizon, just got it during lunch hour in South Carolina. ARF4, June 1 security patch, otherwise looks the same.

Just received and installed the the June 1 update (it is "this month's"). For the people still on the February 2018 patch on Verizon, are you all running any kind of package disablers? They've been known to interfere with updates, especially if you're disabling certain services that you may think is "bloatware." I would enable all the processes you disabled and then do an update check.

Add me to the list who just got ARF4 on my s9+. A bit stunning since we just got one a couple weeks ago. I figured it would be another couple/few months before we would see another one.

Must have been something serious to push out another update so fast.

In all fairness to VZW, this is exactly the same thing that happened with VZW S8 and S8+ phones last year. It took them a couple of months from the day-zero patch to start releasing security patches and after that they were being delivered montly consistently from that point forward. Generally they were only lagging behind Google for about 3.5 weeks for the patch to be pushed out.

I have a S9 just got the update this morning, tried for a few days checking each day and this AM it updated. Also tried the manual approach and coudn't get the software to load on ,y PC properly, might be my USB C cable (or user error)

I just installed the June 1 security patch. This is the first update I have received since getting the phone a few weeks after its release. Not sure why I apparently missed the May update, but hope updates are timely from now on. VZW S9+ purchased directly from VZW.

Just received the June 1 security patch. First update since getting the phones a month and 1/2 ago. Hope they get more timely in the future, but I doubt it.

Just got my update a few hours ago, Verizon S9+ . Its the June security patch, and the only update I've had come available to me since i got the phone, the 1st week of April, locked to Verizon, from the Verizon store. Been running on the Feb once since then. I see nothing different.
