Updates are a double edged sword.... everyone thinks they need them and get upset if they don't get them in a timely manner, Yet when they come, they usually bring along with them a whole new set of problems for the end user, which in turn results in a whole new series of threads on the forums about the new issues.
In a way I am glad that Verizon hasn't pushed the update out. Let the other carriers work the bugs out and hopefully most of us on Verizon will be happy. I'm a tech junkie so I tend to "jones" for the latest and greatest.... its killing me that my wife has a LG V10 and I don't... but thats the way the smartphone market goes. There will always be something better and faster within a couple months of our purchases. Its what drives the industry.
Also, from past upgrade experience, there is no method to the madness of who pushes updates first. It has varied, but, one thing I ave noticed that is consistent is that it is usually three to 4 weeks between each carrier. Given that, I think we will start seeing Marshmallow on our Verizon G4's by the end of the month.
