hi..i am about to root my thunderbolt after reading lots of informative knowledge in this forum and came across one post saying that if you got the new update7/14/2011 that you can't root your phone. is this true??verizon update

No just make sure you root before gingerbread because all root methods have been blocked in gb and no new ones have been found.
