Verizon version: $600, no contract

I was hoping the price would be a little cheaper, maybe the wifi only will be under 500. Either way I'll still get one:)

I would have seriously considered it for $400, off contract, but $600 is way too high, not sure what Samsung is thinking.

They are thinking that they can sell a 4 inch phone and get over $550 for it without a contract.

I agree that 600 is a bit high, but people thinking it would be a LOT cheaper were (largely) looking at pipe dreams. This isn't a touch screen computer, it's a really big phone (with talk removed on this version). Honestly I think the sweet spot would've been between 500 and 550, at least the realistic sweet spot.

You won't see them much cheaper than that without going to archos or some other company that just deals with wifi versions, and with those you are giving up GAPPS and often built quality (though not always)

Wow, that is to much to ask for a 7 inch tablet IMO, and the $20 for 1GB of data is just crazy. The tablet is meant for web browsing, so that option is going to keep many away.

Just sold my OG Droid and accessories for $290.00! With the $100.00 rebate card coming from my DX purchase, I will only need to come up with$ 200.00 and change to pick one up. I will probably wait till closer to Christmas to pick one up. Hope they go on sale!

The iPad 64GB with 3g is close to $800, so I guess $600 is not out of line, but jeesh... I think I'll wait for the Wi-Fi pricing before making a decision.

The Samsung Fascinate is 589.99 retail, so this is $10.01 more for a much larger device.

600 really isn't all that bad considering what all you are getting and it really compares with the 3G iPad price point. With that said though I would have really liked to see samsung come out on the same day release with a wifi only version that has the same 499 base price as the iPad. That is where they would have made the largest amount of sales IMO. For me the screen is too small so I won't buy one anyway but that 499 price is a really enticing entry price point.

As much as i think that this is truly something awesome as i do not like apple that much. but then i realize that i do not have $600 just spend any time soon and that is about the time that i cry:(

I was going to get the wifi only version and I was expecting to pay $600 for it. So this is music to my ears! I'll take the 3G version and pass on the data plan for now. Since its not on contract I will only use it wifi for a while and see if I want to add the data plan in later.
