Verizon video calling s7

So hubby and I have been using the phone app on our Verizon phones to video call each other. Last week it just stopped working on his phone. He has the s7 and I have a s10+.
He answers the call regularly then some minutes later he will click video call and I will accept. His then turns into a green screen on his end and won't work. If he switches it to the back camera it works fine but using the front camera (like a selfie) doesn't work. His camera works otherwise as we have tested it.

The video call settings are on.

Any suggestions?

Did he get any recent system updates?

Try clearing cache,data,force stop phone app , and do same for camera app on your husband phone .
