Verizon vs Google

This is totally and completely unscientific, but here I go.

I got a 128g panda 2XL thru Verizon's web site in November 2017. Here's the facts:
After placing the order received the panda the next day.
Other's who ordered from Google we're still waiting.
To date have no Bluetooth issues. (Been using both Bluetooth & wired headphones.)
To date no dongle connection issues.
Blue tint is minimual.
Get monthly security patches within the 1st two weeks of the month.

My unscientific point is I am wondering if Verizon sorted through their selection on Pixels and sell only the best of the bunch.

Unlocked bootloader means you can keep your pixel, long after google stops supporting it. Also can add to resale value.

If you look on Swappa there is little difference between locked and unlocked Pixels.

If I was on Verizon I think I'd just get one from them. The discount they have been giving is to good. That said, I'm on T-Mobile and I'll probably go unlocked. Was hoping for a deal or sale but it doesn't look like there will be one anytime soon so I might order tomorrow.

Just picked up my Panda Pixel 2 XL 128GB from Verizon last night. Partner was using a phone with a cracked screen so I upgraded one of the lines to get this and he's using my iPhone X. Really liking it so far I had an original Pixel XL as well and this thing is as great and improved. I do not see the blue tint issue unless I'm really looking off axis viewing but when do I really look at my phone like that anyways.

Thanks everyone for your help. My current phone's battery dropped 25% in 30 mins today. I called the extended warranty folks and they're sending me a Pixel 2 XL under warranty with a $80 deductible.

Why would that be under extended warranty. If you had it less than a year it should be free.

Correct. My Next 6P was almost two years (warranty expires next month). So I was able to get a new Pixel 2 XL for the cost of the deductible.
