Hi all,
So I'm getting really sick of the Galaxy line and am looking to switch to the Nexus 5 - but I can't be sure that the phone will actually activate. I've been trying to research it but I'm not digging up much information, has anyone had success bringing a Nexus over to Verizon?

I'd be putting it on my pre-existing Edge plan. And are you sure?

Assuming that you are referring to the Nexus 5X..... yes, it will work fine. If you are referring to the original Nexus 5, no it will not work on Verizon.

Sulla 1965, can you give me details on that? I looked up the band's of the nexus 5 D820 and they seem to cover verizons.

When the Nexus 5 was released, Verizon weren't allowing Google nexus devices on their network. If it wasn't a "Verizon branded" phone, it couldn't be activated on the network. The Nexus 6 and Moto x Pure were the first non Verizon phones that could. Unfortunately the Nexus 5 is still not allowed as of 2015

I don't see Verizon allowing the nexus 5 on its network in the foreseeable future since it doesn't support 700MHz upper block c.

It's almost 2016. I think it's time to give up on the older Nexus 5 on Verizon Wireless.
