VERIZON30 30% off promo code work for MAXX?

Just spoke with a CSR asking to use the promo code for my Maxx retroactively since I bought on launch day. She put me on hold for a few minutes and came back. She said unfortunately the promo is for phones purchased after September 3rd so I wouldn't qualify. I asked if I had bought the Maxx today if I would qualify, she said yes.

I tried the code before september third and it worked on the razor m but not on the maxx.I've been tried to use it today it took the code but didn't give me a discount I don't think that client service rep knew what they were talking about. If this does work for the maxx then I would return my phone I get 30 percent off a new one

Yeah I think they just make it up as they go along. I called Verizon and asked them if Radio Shack was going to have the maxx in stock on launch day. I was told without even a hesitation yes of course they will. Well we see how well that has turned out. I take what they have to say with less than a grain of salt.

Well i tried to buy the lg g2 and the maxx at full retail price (dont wanna lose my unlimited data) and both times the discount says that it has been applied (Great News! Your order qualified for an additional discount that has been applied.) but the price does NOT change. After talking with a verizon rep, he said that the VERIZON30 discount does not apply to phones that are being bought at full retail price. Only new 2 year contracts or accounts that are eligible for an upgrade.

I was on the phone with 611 tonight for nearly 2 hours. I was transferred 3 times. Each time with a promise to be handed off to the right department and that they would explain the situation. I had to tell the rep each time the same thing. First to tech support, then to telesales, then to another dept... LONG STORY SHORT the verizon30 discount shocked each and every one of them, they had never even heard of it but said it is for ONLINE only and even though I purchased my phone after september 3rd, I was SOL. SO I did what any smart person would do, kept calm, and thanked the rep for their time. Its not their fault the company provides inadequate training. I'm sure after another phone call tomorrow I'll get someone on the phone who's willing to help.

I love verizon wireless and their inconsistencies.

Well the code works at checkout intermittently. Always works with the moto X and droid ultra, or g2. Strange.

Yes, from what I've seen, they only allow that coupon to work for certain devices, like the Moto X and the G2. Not for the MAXX.

I ended up going the Comcast route last week. Got it Friday. I am now part of the MAXX crew!

Finally got a rep on the phone today that would help. $90 credit pending supervisor approval and is calling me back tonight after it processes.

I'd love to know what that promo code is. I just spent a good 45 minutes on the phone with a slew of verizon people who knew nothing of a promotion code.

@redddog - The promo code is VERIZON30, but it only works on certain phones (Moto X and G2 at least) and does not work on the MAXX. Online, at least.

They honored it for me and credited my account. I showed them pictures of the website with a motorola X in stock with the code entered and the discount. And also showed them droid maxx with it saying congrats you qualified for extra savings. Even tho it didn't take it off. Rep called me back to confirm everything was correct.
