I am starting to wonder if this is the reason we are not hearing anything about Skype. It will be interesting to see if this is in the next major OTA instead of Skype.

I see no reason why we would not get Google voice as we have a ff camera and its only logical to give it to use in gingerbread

Its not just the front-facing camera. Its also the LTE that is excellently suited toward video chat.

This makes me sad because Verizon Proprietary Apps are RARELY free.

Me thinks that this will be the only option for the TB if you want to do video chat and VZ will not allow Skype or any other app to run properly.

Possibly, but at some point VoLTE will be the standard, which the way public interest is moving, VoLTE may end up standing for Video over LTE as opposed to Voice over LTE. At which point VoLTE becomes such a standard, voice/video calling applications will become more integrated and having more features.

How do you have video chat on google talk on you Thunderbolt? I gave it on my XOOM and obviously on PC, it would be great to have on the bolt.
