VERY Exciting times, but....

I am absolutely in love with my Fascinate now that I have been rooted and learned the art of flashing. But with all this new stuff coming out (source kernels that are voodoo, undervolted, OC, etc.) I for one feel like my head is spinning... in a good way though!

However, LandShark, i finally think i am understanding why you are urging us newbies to take it slow, because with everything that is going on, it can be a bit overwhelming! I have forgotten at least 3 times in the past week which kernel I am on, and had to be very cautions when flashing roms and themes.

I think I am going to hold off on flashing anything new for a little while until some of the new kernels and upcoming roms are developed and tested for a while. I am very happy with the performance I am getting on my SF now, that I "think" I can hold of for a few weeks or however long it takes for some of the kinks to get ironed out and then go from there.

Anyway... not really too much info in this post, just wanted to share my thoughts with a great community.

One last thing.... special thanks to the following members who have personally helped me out tremendously:

LandShark, Gunnermike53, DriodXcon (good luck with the hard brick, i know we all appreciate what you do) JaeKar99, Sheepdog Elite, and of course Adrynalyne for such awesome work! THANKS GUYS! I hope to repay the favors some day!

Good thinking. I signed up right around DL09 and there was so much odd stuff floating around. Kernels are easy once you go to nothing but voodoo. Nothing to remember except "I use voodoo kernels".

Beautifully said, Jortenzi! :)
Wise words, indeed.

+1: Adding my thanks to the pot for those mentioned.

Blah, blah balh...I believe in Gunnermikes philosophy, if it is new, flash it and damn the consequences. Why, because I also believe in 2 other things. My insurance policy and DXC's "it is terribly hard to brick a phone..."

What? he did? nevermind...

Just a joke....I feel for you DXC

Also, yeah it is good to go slow. I just never have been able to when it comes to gadgets or programs.

I am thinking of learning how to program these bad boys, anyone got any tips on where to start? Even if I do do the heavy lifting like Adrynalyne, at least i can pump out some themes or something along those lines...

If you're gonna go to gunnermike's "hold my beer and watch this" school of flashing you should learn to use heimdal LOL. Just sayin.

Before you try to learn how to "pump out some themes" maybe you coukd use some etiquette lessons in replying to threads? Was the "blah blah blah" necessary? If you are opposed to what I have to say, then please take your comments elsewhere. Thanks

Sorry you mistook what I said, it wasnt a dig on what you were saying at all, my apologies.

I wasn't being flippant about your comments, I was kidding more about my lack of self control and and ignoring warnings...

kinda stating the "in one ear out the other" philosophy.

Once again, I apologize, no disrespect intended

All good man, I just mistook what you said, so I apologize as well for snapping back. Plus, I see you are a fellow Philly fan... so I have to forgive you! So stoked about opening day tomorrow!

I'm with ya, even though I cannot get up for baseball really until hockey is over. It should be another great year for the Phils..it is gonna be a soggy opening that is for sure though

I hear ya... i haven't really followed the fly guys religously since the days of Lindros, but they are having another great season this year

I'm from Michigan, but I've been a Flyers fan since the Lindros days. It's disappointing to see where his career ended up.
