I got an Optimus V after the charger port on my feature phone stopped working. After a couple of days, I was asking myself why I waited so long. I soon found that I could move only a very limited number of apps to my SD card and began experimenting with custom ROMs.
I really like the freedom of adding new functionality to my phone, but I have, up to this point, had no success getting an ICS or JB ROM to run on my OV without frequent reboots. Perhaps I should try older, more stable versions. I will post my issues in an appropriate forum. If I can find the time, I may even join the dev ranks and focus on producing stable foundation ROMs (daily-use functionality) upon which to build fun, non-essential features.
