Vibrant Pricing?

Yesterday I went to a local T-Mobile owned store to look at the Vibrant for a friend. I really liked the screen and thought it was a pretty cool phone but... The T-Mobile store had $309 for the price (after rebate), at T-Mobile online it's $199 and Amazon sells it for $99. What's up for the wide variation of pricing?

Yeah the T-Mobile store around the corner from my house is selling them for $307 out the door. The price is 250 for the phone plus 40 for a Samsung Bluetooth that is included. The phone has a fifty dollar mail in rebate and a thirty dollar rebate for the Bluetooth . So after all rebates its about $227.
