Vibrate duration has changed suddenly?

Whenever I used to receive an email my moto x used to do 2 long vibrate pulses. Now it does 2 short ones. I have no clue why this has happened. My text messages still come in and vibrate the way it used to. Its just my emails that vibrate differently. Is there a way to change the way my phone vibrates?

In fact to add to the above. I don't even want my emails to vibrate. I turned off the vibrate setting in my gmail app. Why is it vibrating? I have my sound profile set to vibrate. When I set my sound profile to ring, my emails will just ring and won't vibrate. Maybe that's it?
