When I out my phone into vibrate mode vie the volume buttons on the outside of the phone, when I get calls it vibrates, But when i get a text it does not, is there a way to change this without having incoming text messages vibrate all of the time?

Download soundmanager from the market. Open it and go into the settings and adjust the vibrate from there. You must of downloaded an app having to do with sound profiles. Its a bug and for some reason it disables the vibrate from all your messaging.

Agreed. Make sure you are selected each feature to vibrate, or else it will not vibrate, instead it will stay silent.

If you were to do this then it would vibrate every time you would get a text, and i simply want it to do it in vibrate mode...

I have mine set to vibrate under messaging, and it only vibrates when I have vibrate enabled via the volume rocker or via an app that changes the volume and/or vibrate option.

When I first got my Droid, I was very interested in volume profiles due to my experience with Nextel phones and Blackberries. I installed Locale and setup a profile that would vibrate, but nothing would vibrate until I enabled it for each notification type.

Your experience may be different, but that's how it works/worked for me.
