Vibratesumbol in notification bar

Hey guys, got my Note yesterday and I absolutely love it. Quick question though. I set my vibrate to always go off and the vibrate symbol is always in my notification bar. Now I've owned a far share of androd phones and I've always set the vibrate to always but the only time that vibrate symbol would appear was when my phone was on silent. With the Note the symbol is always there whether the phone is on silent or all the way up to anyone else with the problem.

The Galaxy S2 does the same thing. My old Captivate did not.

Custom ROMS on the GS2 change it back to the old way.

If it is set to always vibrate.... the symbol will always be there.

Maybe this was a Apple lawsuit or maybe a future one.

my last phone the Motorola atrix didn't do it even with it set to always. My girlfriends Samsung fascinate is always set to always and it doesn't do it..

Took me a bit to get use to, My photon only has the VIBE when set to VIBE onle. The Note has it when VIBE is enabled. I kind of like this because the Photon was very picky with the ROM I was running if it would vibrate or not. It looks like the Note runs dual icons for Silent Vibe, single icon for Silent No Vibe, and no icons for sound no Vibe.


Took a little to get use to, but now with a quick glance I know exactly what is enabled on my phone and love it.
