Vibration Intensity Jelly Bean

I recently upgraded my Sony Xperia TL from Android Ice Cream Sandwich to Android Jelly Bean and I noticed that the vibration intensity while typing got significantly weaker. Does Jelly Bean really make the vibration intensity weaker for typing or did something go wrong? I personally like the weaker vibration intensity because I feel like it saves battery. I'd just like to know if it's suppose to be like that.
