Android Central Question

So I recently updated to Android 10 on my Motorola G7 Power and bow the majority of functions no longer vibrate. I've been into my accessibility settings and ensured they are all on (even the ones I don't usually have on). Now it's only certain things that vibrate like phone calls. Gestures to turn on my torch no longer vibrate, unlocking my phone with my fingerprint no longer vibrates, twisting my phone for the camera and typing on the keyboard no longer vibrates.

Does anyone know why this might be, I'd also like to add that there is no native setting for vibration intensity despite the settings quoting "Vibration and Haptic Strength".

Have you tried clearing your cache partition? I regularly clear my cache partition on my Moto Z3, it can fix some weird problems. You're almost guaranteed to have some issues after upgrading the os on a Moto phone :-[ When I can I try and do a factory reset after an os upgrade.... it's like getting a new phone ;-)

Pretty much all recent phones by Moto use dual A/B system partitions, which means no cache partition that can be wiped.:-\

Oh.... like the pixels. That's good to know ;-) With my pixel I've actually had very good luck with multiple restarts after a major update.... it's pretty much fixed any weird problems going on. The A/B partition system is supposed to automatically do a cache partition wipe of sorts on a restart. Not sure if the newer Moto phones operate the same way...... it might be worth a shot though.

I'm still going to miss the good old fashioned cache partition wipe every month or so though.... really seemed to help my older phones run really well for a long time.
