Hi,

I am not sure if this has been asked before.

I am using the Samsung Galaxy S8 which runs on Android 7.0.
I am having issues with 2 video apps (Amazon Prime and YouTube) that get stuck or unresponsive.

When I open the YouTube app it gets stuck on either a white screen or white and the YouTube logo shows. The only way to close the app is to press the home key several times. The back key also becomes unresponsive in this situation.

The Amazon Prime app opens normally usually. Shows the home screen with all the titles. When I go to the downloads screen all my downloads are listed and then I go the episode of the series I want to watch and on the next screen where the video is suppose to start nothing happens. There is just a wheel that runs forever and the next moment a popup shows that says the app is not responding.

When this happens I have to restart the phone to get the apps to work again.

I do switch between networks (wifi at work, mobile wifi at home and 4G network on the phone) during the day. There is not one specific time I can point to or network I can single when this happens as it happens on all three.

Can anyone help me with this issue? Has anyone else had this issue? I have Googled for answers or help, but I cannot find anything relating to this specific problem.

Have you already tried going to Settings>Apps, selecting one of those apps, then Storage, then Clear Cache/Clear Data?
