Video conversion question

I ripped one of my DVDs into VOB files. What's a good program to use to convert those to mp4 format with default outputs optimized for the Evo?

I have Handbrake installed right now but all the defaults cater to the iphone and ipod formats. I don't want to experiment with settings for the next 2-3 hours trying to get a clean format. thanks
