Video lock screen from galaxy s9 is available on the Note 8

I'm still on the May security patch. I'm able to do this. I have a video on my lockscreen. All I did was update the gallery app in the galaxy apps store.

Yeah that's the annoying thing, all my Galaxy apps are up to date, I usually check every other day at least.
My gallery version is 5.4.04.12 and it's saying latest version installed, maybe the Lockscreen video is linked to another app and not gallery.

I used the one titled "Gallery". I found a video that was under 15 seconds. I tapped the 3 dots and chose "set as wallpaper". That takes you to another screen and I just chose to set it as a wallpaper. The screen it takes you to looks like your lock screen over the video.

My system software update was installed on June 21st with security patch level June 1st.
I'm surprised that this lockscreen option is not available for me so if someone with a similar version of my Note 8 (unlocked UK N950f) can check this and report back, I will know if it's my software version or my phone!

I’ve just updated mine, unlocked uk N950f which I bought from carphone warehouse, and it doesn’t have this video wallpaper either looks like we’ve been left out

Mine is unlocked Vodafone Ireland and I have the option, only got the June security patch update today so don't know if it was there before

Love it! Loads up to 15 seconds of video as the lock screen. I'm using a 10 second clip of the indoor shark tank at the New York Aquarium. Nice feature.

Now I'm wondering what other little goodies are available from the S9...

I love it too. I keep switching my videos of my Bernedoodle doing cute things. I should read about S9 features and see if we have any of them.

I did contact Samsung about this but they are about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike, No clue whatsoever!

I was incorrect. I do have the option to set as a video. Turns out the package disabler has disabled the feature. Unfortunately, I don't know for sure which feature it was but if you are using that at all, check to make sure that it isn't disabling wallpapers or such.

I don't have any type of package disabler as far as I'm aware unless there's one already built in.

Ok I had this update earlier.......


Wow big update which included the option to set video on lockscreen.
Also I noticed that VO(( LTE has appeared on my notification bar.....



My wife's Galaxy S9 is the same.

Edit; looks like Wi-Fi calling is now enabled on my network, yipeeee!
