Hi all,
I have been playing with getting video playback to work on my Xoom when using the HDMI out to my Sony LCD TV. HDMI seems to work fairly well when it is static images, pictures and even apps, (Google earth is especially fun on the big screen). I even streemed the last TV episode of Greys Anatomy over HDMI for my wife to catch up on this weekend. Video playback of stored movies has been very problematic via HDMI.
The movies work fine when just played on the Xoom. No isses at all. But when I connect to HDMI inputs of TV, the video will play for 10-15 seconds and then the screen goes blank on both devices and the audio cuts out. It starts up again, but keeps doing the cycle for at least the nex 3-4 minutes. I have not tried it longer than that as I figure it just isn't working.
Like I said, HDMI does work on the TV from the Xoom for most other things. RockPlayer is the video player I am using and I suspect it may be the source of the problem. Anyone find something else that will work? Anyone having a similar issue?
Thanks,
Rob
