Does anyone know of any video players that play files from the SD card. I just discovered that VLC only plays files from internal memory so I'm open to suggestions :)

Asus file manager. there should be many programs to do that but that's what's on my phone now, now that I got p*ssed off at ES File Manager.

I discovered this file manager today and I really like it. I actually think it's the one you are talking about lol

yup, that's it. the one with the yellow icon. ES File Manager used to be super popular. A recent update really ticked people off, including me. You can read the reviews on the Play Store to see what I mean. :)

I am using VLC to watch videos that are on my SD card. Make sure that you go "Directories" under "Settings" and have the SD card selected as a valid path. I did have some crashing at first but I disabled "Time-stretching audio" and that seems to have stopped the crashing. Not sure why, but it seems to work fine now.

Also, in case you have some confusion. The Samsung video player is not installed and you need to add it from the play store if you want it.

For some reason the default video player app doesn't have an icon amongst my apps even though I didn't disable it o.o
Because there is no icon for it. The Gallery app also serves as the video player. All videos show up in an album there. Just open it and play.

It's installed. The app on the Play Store is just a 'library' app.

I'm totally not showing that I'm used to ios having its own video app lol. Thanks for pointing that out to me

I'm getting increasingly fed up. It keeps saying that the mp4 files on my SD card cannot be played. Yet they work on my iPhone. Go figure
