So I'm trying to wrap my head around why LG is the only manufacturer using the SD845 that has no options for 4k60fps or 1080p240fps. Do you think LG will send out an update to enable this on the G7 and V35 in the future? Even the OnePlus 6 has these capabilities and much better EIS stabilization in 4k30 and other modes. I just feel like LG is always holding back instead of going full throttle.

I haven't worried about it because I think expecting a phone's camera to do video good enough to warrant 4k @ 60FPS or 1080 @ 250fps is silly. Playback for such quality is so limited that you're only going to find it used in professional applications, and no phone cam is near good enough for that.

Maybe they'll chance it, but it really won't matter. Maybe the tech will get to that point in 3 year and this will be a relevant concern but it isn't in 2018. I'd love to see the individual who is facing a conundrum because they need 4k/60fps out of their G7.

Yeah that's fine and all but have you seen some of the 4k60 footage from the likes of other phones? It's really quite sharp and detailed looking and just downright silky smooth. I just don't think whatever reason they had was good enough to be the only manufacturer that doesn't utilize the power of the SD845 especially with even more RAM than the S9. They need to do all they can to give consumers all the more reason to purchase their product and not skip it just because it's missing something all the other top flagships have.

I got this response from LG about this question.
