video will not play on pc

I copied a few videos that I took today over to my pc and they will not play. One plays for a few seconds then the video freezes and you hear the audio only. All the videos play find on the phone

I have VLC Player and checked to be sure I have the latest. The video wouldn't play at all in Windows Media player

Any help is greatly appreciated

Are they recorded on the highest video resolution - UHD ?

I believe so. But how can I tell?
This is a new phone and I am not sure how to change the video setting

Ok I found it. The camera was set at UHD 3840x2160

Well there are some players on pc that don't play that resolution, i really haven't researched any players that play uhd videos or certain codecs and formats, but it should be fairly easy to google that information so good luck.

I thought VLC was supposed to play UHD Videos?
