Videos in MMS not working. Found a workaround but don't like it.

Rooted on Evil Fascination with dark sms .apk installed. My incoming mms videos wont play for some reason. Installed VZW Messages after some searching for a solution, which makes them work.

But, I hate the app itself. And of course it's taken over as a default for notifications. And it doesn't light up the screen when I get a message which I love since there's no notification LED.

Anyone ever run into this? I'm thinking missing codec or something along those lines.

Maybe I need to go back to stock TW sms?

Any help is appreciated.

Yeah video doesnt work in mms for me either. I'm on comrom myself. Anyone got a fix?

I can't recall the last time I had a video sent to be via mms but I'd try saving the file to your sd card then playing it with the phones video player.

Thanks for the idea. I've already tried that one though. I should have mentioned that. It didn't work.
