Videos Not Playing

So just picked up my G5 coming from a Nexus 5. I have a pretty good understanding of androids but this one is stumping me.

Whenever watching a video of any kind, about 10-15 seconds in I ALWAYS get a playback error which stops whatever I'm watching. Pretty frustrating. Any ideas??

Is it all videos or all types?
Is it with the native video app?

I should have clarified this. This pertains to videos streamed through apps. Say a YouTube video, or on my browser, Facebook/Instagram etc etc. So far all videos taking with and sent to my phone have worked well.

Could be timing out due to low bandwidth unless its doing it every time and everywhere

It happens every single time regardless of if I'm on Wi-Fi or 4G
