Recently I have noticed problems getting videostream to work on chromecast. Any ideas?

Try using the Chromecast app (instructions at Chromecast mirroring). It mirrors the phone screen, so anything you can play on the phone you can play on the TV.

I understand chrome is to blame. I was able to stream AC3 audio until recently. Now it only does stereo and PCM from Videostream. Bummer.
