view and control device from PC?

Maybe the cost of TeamViewer is a stumbling block. $749 is a chunk of change for a home user.
It's not easy finding out if there is a free version just for a single user.
Maybe there is an alternative app?

Using N4Newbies link above I found the following info.

Mobile Device Support with TeamViewer

You have to install Teamviewr QS (Quick Support). Then you get a DeviceID and can remotely control your Android device from PC. There are restrictions on which make you can control, though the list seems pretty broad.

I hope this is more acute to your needs OP.

I just tested this with a co-workers Note. It isn't the best in terms of speed, but those settings can be adjusted and will also depend on the strength of your network connections.

If you have a newer Samsung device, you can install SideSync and that lets you view and control your phone on a PC. But yeah, this only works for Samsung devices. This app also lets you share your keyboard/mouse with the phone even if you're not seeing the screen on your PC.

As for Teamviewer, although I've never used it, it's not the first time someone suggests using that to view and control an Android device on a PC, so it must work...but as some posters before have stated, you might need a different 'element' and to have your device supported.

I am not sure you solved this or not, I met same problem and find your post, but it doesn't enlighten me at all,(teamviewer doesn't work at all) I finally solved with this solution:
I don't know can you plug your Android device in your computer via USB or not?
If OK, I recommend you could try Vysor. And you need install Google Chrome.
Check this link if you need.
