Virtuous 2.3

Ok after my text message debacle W/CM6 (not sure it was roms fault but not worth the risk) I decided to try Virtuous instead of going straight back to SR. First impressions are pretty positive. It feels crisp, pretty fast tho not quite as snappy as CM6 after all it is a Sense rom, man did I miss sense. I am just a sense guy, vanilla doesnt do much for me for what i have to give up.

Stock kernel got me 1147 on quadrant, 25.9 neocore. I just flashed the kingxklik#2 (all I had on my SD) and jumped to 1287 quadrant and 26.8 neocore, OC'ed at 1.113...not bad. On par w/SR.

Overall this is pretty much the stock OTA w/some bloat removed. Doesnt have the look tweaks put into SRand the Lock bar much more responsive than SR. If you like sense and arent sold on 3.0 RC3 just yet its worth a look...now, to find a circle battery icon.

I think I may try. I wanted very much to like Sky Raider 3.0, but it's just not the same as v 2.5.2.

Was reading over at XDA that people that are using Virtuous are getting the Devil voice when playing flash videos and the dev seemed to think it was a bigger android 2.2 problem. My question is, I am using Skyraider 2.52 and have ironed out my devil voice issues on this rom. I'd hate to switch and find out that I lost flash in the process. Is anyone using a 2.2 sense rom with no devil voice (2.2 based on the official build that is)...

Same. I saw the fix on the website for 2.3 and just figured I'd wait till 2.4 as they seem to be churning them out super fast.

Yea, SR ironed out the dev voice issue, Virt has it but only in adobe showcase/hulu. No issues on regular websites or youtube.

wow..switched up to the King #1 BFS Kernel and got 1367 on Quadrant...pretty good for a sense rom

This ROM is easily the best based off the official Froyo build. I switched to this after CM6 decided my widgets didn't need to load and some text messaging mishaps... Not sure what happened there, but I don't need that. Plus battery leaves something to be desired, sadly.

Anyways, this is very nice.

The dialer was huge, contacts app I had to manually link with FB, the messaging app was a huge debacle..It was smooth but I cant have texts going to the wrong person...

installed 2.4 this afternoon. so far it has been working great. newest kingx kernel and wiping battery settings really did the trick. actually having a bit of trouble with the virtual keyboard as i type this but otherwise i see no problems with this rom.
